From the cabin take a walk, run or bike ride through Broxa Forest. Enjoy a birds-eye view of nearby villages. Tree-felling has opened up the views and you will really feel on top of the world in places. If cycling, you may enjoy completing part of the 'Tour de Yorkshire's' famous cycle route that passes close by.

falling foss
Enjoy a magical woodland walk, that passes an idyllic woodland tea garden and the 30-foot Falling Foss Waterfall, before returning to May Beck. Falling Foss Cafe opens seasonally from April to September. Delicious home-baking awaits!

There is something about the charm of Sledmere that has captivated visitors for over 200 years. Take a relaxing walk around the walled garden, have a picnic lunch in the grounds, enjoy a family day out exploring the various outdoor spaces - adventure play area, rare breed animals, horse stables or the magic of Christmas!
malton
Visit Malton for a day out in Yorkshire's award winning food town, with markets and traditional old-fashioned charm.

pickering
Pickering is an ancient market town on the border of the North York Moors National Park. Take a journey on the heritage steam locomotive to Goathland 'Heartbeat' country or travel directly to Whitby where you will be able to disembark and explore the famous Yorkshire Seaside Town, before returning back to Pickering.

Visit one of Britain's fine stately homes. Spend a day strolling the grounds and enjoying the magnificent gardens. Savour light bites at the Courtyard Cafe or play with younger members of the family on Skelf Island overlooking the lake. A perfect place for a picnic!

Enjoy famous historical landmarks such as York Minster, the City Walls, Yorvik Museum, The Dungeons, The National Railway Museum, York Castle or the tradition of the cobbled streets & quaint shops / cafes. See if you can find your way around York Maize - definitely a hit with the children!
